Our installation was part of a larger home renovation coordinated by the general contractor, so I can't tell you the plumber who did it. If you have a gas hot water heater now, this may require also the services of an electrician to add a new circuit with sufficient power.
The noise level is pretty much the same as what a room-sized dehumidifier makes. The heat pump hot water heater requires a free flow of air, and it produces a stream of coolish air during its heating cycle. This can be vented to another location, if needed, but this is an additional consideration in deciding where to put the unit.
